Squarespace wins. It's just too good. There's just too much good... it looks fantastic, it's super-easy to customize... it does everything that I would do on TypePad, but better. My newest project will soon appear. Until then, enjoy inspiration.

me too, *just* decided between the two as well, and going with SquareSpace :) I really wanted to look at MovableType after I found out that's what Obama used, it's very well done; however, I wanted a 'hosted' solution that I did not have to maintian (I have a VPS server now, tired of managing it); I thought MovableType's little brother TypePad would do a decent job... Some cool features with TypePad connect can't really make up for the difference in UI when compared to SquareSpace; So I'm putting my chips and hopes of further growth and development into SquareSpace too.

I use WordPress as well. I've used MovableType with MediaTemple several years ago; it's really solid and not that hard to maintain, but it's "styles" and CSS maintenance is (or at least was) quite horrible.

Obama using something certainly isn't a reason I'd ever jump on a technology... I care more about what Steve Jobs uses, and what Larry Ellison is claiming.

What kind of project are you using for Squarespace? What plan are you using. Feel free to un-shamelessly drop a link here.
